Access Statement

Our park is situated on the side of a valley and although we have some flat areas, the roads and some pitches slope to varying degrees. The upper part of the park, in general, is suitable for wheelchair users but unfortunately the height of the toilet and shower block, requires our customers to be able to climb steps.

We do not have any “all service” pitches, although each pitch has electric hook-up, and there are several water points around the park.

Our reception area is accessible on foot or in a wheelchair with only a one-inch step. There is seating both inside, and under the veranda. The bell for assistance is within easy reach. This is a “doorfone” which enables us to converse with our customers.

The reception provides basic groceries, ice creams, sweets and cold drinks. When possible, we would arrange to stock special items, with prior notice.

There is parking outside the reception and on all pitches.

There are seven steps up to the ladies facilities with handrails on either side.
To access the gentleman’s facilities and the laundry, washing up and payphone, there are three long steps and then three normal steps, with handrails on either side.

In both the ladies and the gent’s, there are handrails in one of the toilet cubicles. There are also seats in the drying area of the showers and a stool to use in the shower, is available on request.

The edges of the steps to the toilet block have been highlighted with coloured paint for better visibility.

We can provide a large print brochure, on request.

Whenever possible, we give our less-able customers the pitches which are most the convenient for them.

There is no 24-hour service available on the park, however we are available, via the doorfone in an emergency.

If we can help in any way, please let us know.
